A cardboard-and-wood-filled trip to the sunny, windy Greek island of Paros for board game geeks!

Due to popular demand and several sold-out previous events, in 2018 for the first time Cardboard & Sun will be taking place over 12 days! The dates for 2018 are:
2 July – 14 July 2018

Cardboard & Sun 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 were such amazing experiences, we can’t stop ourselves from more fun in the sun with fellow board game geeks. This time, extended for nearly 2 weeks! More games, more sun.

Here’s what went on before:

So, once more Cardboard & Sun returns to the Greek island of Paros, located in the middle of the Aegean Sea, and home to Alea Apartments, our board game-filled hosts for a warm, relaxing holiday.

With 700+ games to choose from, there is something for everyone, from Loopin’ Louie to Antiquity, from Bunny Bunny Moose Moose to Agricola, and from Bang! to Android: Netrunner.

Besides the games, Paros has a lot more to offer than just beautiful beaches and good food. Famous since antiquity for its marble, it is also home to Byzantine monuments like the Ekatontapiliani church and narrow-alleyed villages like Lefkes, where the family of our boardgaming hosts comes from.

There is no set itinerary, and everyone is free to explore the island, go to the beach, shop and eat, or just play board games the whole time. There will be opportunities for group trips such as to the ancient marble mines, so everyone can make their own schedule and spend their time on the island as they please.

We do not believe in restrictive, expensive, all-inclusive tours. More important is the freedom to choose where and when to wander around, enjoy a meal, get a tan, or play a game. At the same time, we will be right there with you along with our hosts, to pick you up at the airport, to give you advice and to enjoy the trip together.

Take a moment and read through the details of the trip, and feel free to contact us with any questions. This is a new way to enjoy both board games and travel, so we will be happy to make this experience as fun and exciting as possible.
